I purchased my first camera when I was about ten. I saved up the £5 needed and can remember running up to the local chemist for the Kodak Instamatic 126 box set. This was the start of a passion that I still have today.
Since then I have completed numerous courses, night schools and seminars in Photography, videography, Photoshop and editing.
I did a full service as the Police Officer in which I was also trained in surveillance, in car video, optical evidence and forensic collision investigation photography.
I qualified with a Foundation Arts Degree in Photography in 2013 and I am currently working towards achieving the next level of Associate with the Royal Photographic Society. I have previous wedding experience in videography but decided that still photography offered greater creativity and provided more control to be able to produce the style of my images.
I have built up a very comprehensive professional based kit and I am registered as a Pro User with Nikon. I mainly use full frame digital cameras but have 35mm and large format 5x4 film cameras. I am also experienced in traditional darkroom developing and printing.
My experience as a Police Officer has given me excellent people skills and the ability to be deal with situations calmly. This is a great quality for wedding photography as the events are dynamic. I relish the love and emotion generated at weddings and feel honoured to be able to share such an intimate and cherished day. To be able to see the bride in her dress before her Dad or the Groom is a privileged moment. I am not ashamed to say that I often shed a tear or two behind the camera as the emotions of the day unfold. So yes, I am a big softie!
I have high morals and ethics. You can rest assured that I will strive to provide the best customer satisfaction, not just on the day, but before and afterwards. Strong bonds and friendships have been made with my bride & grooms.
My aim is to make the Bride cry with happiness on viewing the images or better still the Groom!
